Power Sources (Important for all Communications)
- Have plenty of batteries on hand. Batteries including household, boat/RV, and car batteries can be used with the proper circuitry, such as inverters, in case the electricity is interrupted for a few hours or a few days.
- Solar Panels can be source of power and battery charging with the proper wiring and size of batteries.
- Generators are the best for long-term power, but require fuel on hand and general maintenance to keep operational.
